Assessment/Case Manager Specialist We are expanding and looking for a professional with a strong work ethic to work full time in our Drug and Alcohol Central Intake Office. Duties include: assessment, placement, and eligibility determination for treatment and funding. A Master’s Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Nursing or related field will be considered. A candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree must have at least one year direct service experience performing counseling or case management in an alcohol or other drug treatment setting. This is highly skilled work requiring independent judgment. This position will require extensive travel throughout the county and meeting with individuals in their residence and/or other community locations. Evening work will be required. Must have basic computer skills. Access to a motor vehicle with appropriate insurance is required. Applicants should have knowledge of drug/alcohol assessments, level of care criteria, the availability of community supports and be familiar with the DSM V. Certified Recovery Specialist The qualified candidate will provide support services to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders by assisting in overcoming barriers, gain access to community resources, developing self-identified personal goals for recovery and promoting self-sufficiency. Advocacy for individual and family needs with professionals within the community, problems solving, role modeling and coaching are essential to this position. Knowledge of the purpose, goals and objectives of the recovery process, the drug and alcohol service delivery system, and excellent communication skills are required. This full-time position will be community based and will often require working evenings and weekends. Candidates are required to have obtained full certification as a drug and alcohol recovery support specialist.
